Lemonade changed my life....for the better!
Hi!​​
I'm Alison and I've been working as a French to English translator for 12 years.

​ It was in 1986 that I first fell in love with the French language. I remember it very well! As a somewhat reserved teenager, I was sat in my weekly French lesson. As usual, nobody wanted to answer the teacher when they asked questions. At the time, we (myself included) were all somewhat embarrassed to try speaking another language! But after a while, I started to get a little bored just sitting there....after all, I knew the answer to the question. So, after much deliberation, I raised my hand and answered.....

My wonderful teacher (thanks Mrs Britten!) congratulated me. Blushing, I awkwardly accepted the praise. This is the defining moment where my love of the French language was born.
And, here I am!

I am British with a BA(hons) degree in French from Liverpool John Moores University in the UK. Following my graduation in 1996, I worked for different companies and charitable organisations in the fields of event management, translation, international education, general business and healthcare.
Twelve years ago, I decided that I really wanted to use my French language skills more. I subsequently moved to France to regain my fluency and started work as a freelance translator.
